An exciting opportunity for an individual to experience working within the Burtons Group of Companies. Burtons have been established for 36 years and is the leading company in manufacturing and supplying veterinary equipment in the UK. Burtons Grooming Direct is a relatively new part of the Group and focuses on supplying high quality products for animal grooming.
The role primarily involves assisting customers via telephone and email as they place orders. It is principally an online business with most of the sales undertaken via the websites eBay or Amazon and we also have a growing number of local customers who prefer to visit our onsite shop at Weald House.
This role will require the individual to work using their own initiative and as part of a motivated team to effectively process, track and despatch online orders whilst dealing efficiently with customer enquiries. We are also currently developing an Aquatics business dealing primarily in pond filtration and anticipate there will be some crossover, bringing further variety to the job.
Responsibilities & Duties:
-Answering phone calls
-Answering emails and questions sent via eBay and Amazon
-Processing orders
-Processing payments
-Light picking and packing of orders throughout the day
Qualifications & Skills:
-Good IT skills
-Confident telephone manner
-Sage Accounts and Magento; previous experience would be useful but full training can be provided
-Knowledge of animal grooming/caring for an animal would be beneficial
-Knowledge/experience of selling on eBay/Amazon would be beneficial
Immediate start. Working Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Salary dependent on experience. Annual leave 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays. Company pension scheme.
